Broomrape / Cistanche Salsa (rou cong rong) 肉蓯蓉

NATURE:

Warm; sweet and salty; attributive to kidneys, large intestine.

CHARACTERISTICS:

Fleshy stem of parasitic herb with scaly stalks and roots that resemble flesh. It is a superior herb. Both stalk and root can be eaten raw or stewed with meat as a potent sexual tonic for both men and women.
