Mistletoe / Ramulus Taxilli (sang ji sheng) 桑寄生

NATURE:

Mild in nature, bitter in taste, attributive to liver and kidney.

CHARACTERISTICS:

A parasitic shrub about 1 meter high. The young branches and leaves with red-brown downs are used.

THERAPEUTIC EFFECTS:

Expel wind-dampness and tonify the liver and kidney, nourish blood and calm the fetus, lower blood pressure especially for those with deficiency of liver and kidney.
