NATURE:
Very hot, pungent, sweet, and attributive to liver, spleen, heart and
kidneys.
CHARACTERISTICS:
Bark of large mature trees, cultivated primarily for its reddish brown,
strongly aromatic bark. A superior herb used in medicine as well as cooking.
An excellent herb in warming cold hands and feet and internal organs and can
enhance the warming and tonic properties of other herbs. Can induce
perspiration and drive internal heat out through the pores of skin during the
early stages of colds and flu.
