CHARACTERISTICS:
The affiliated tuberous roots of aconitum plant. The fresh roots are being
processed to decrease its toxicity and are being made into salty aconite,
black aconite, white aconite and bland aconite, each with slightly different
healing effects. Contraindicated for pregnant women.
THERAPEUTIC EFFECTS:
Treat yang energy exhaustion with coldness of limbs, fatigue and
sleeplessness; dilate blood vessels of lower limbs to increase coronary flow
and metabolism; warm and strengthen spleen and kidney for impotence, emission
and edema; expel cold and alleviate pain in shoulder joint.
